Everything you face after a death, in one calm place.

Compare providers side by side
Every price we publish carries the source it came from. When we do not have a price we show nothing rather than an estimate, so a blank means we have not collected it yet.

How Plainfare works
We collect the prices
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, every funeral home must give price information by phone to anyone who asks. That is how we collect prices, and every price we publish carries the source it came from.
You compare side-by-side
See a provider's itemized prices wherever they have published them. Sort by price. Hide known chains. Make an informed choice.
We guide you through every step
Our post-death timeline walks you through every decision from hour one through 18 months, with the right providers at each step.
The FTC says you have a right to know funeral prices
The FTC Funeral Rule requires every funeral home to give accurate price information over the telephone to anyone who asks. The FTC's guide for funeral homes says they cannot require your name, address, or phone number before they answer. Most funeral homes still do not post their prices online. Plainfare is collecting this data so families can compare before they call.
